Know what you are ordering December 20, 2008

System ships with premium which will only allows two DCT  .... you can special order the systems with Ultimate.

You need Ultimate to support more then two DCT with TV Pack. The registry hacks don't work with TV Pack.

Back to the future February 25, 2008
Reviewer: R. G. Arnold from New York City
My experience with S1 has been a terrific “back to the future”.  S1 will remind you of the old days, when the computer company salesperson could actually discuss in detail with you the configuration of the computer you were considering buying.  (In contrast, for example, try asking a big company phone rep about cable card TV tuners.  As of Feb 08, you’ll be lucky to get anything beyond a personalized reading of the (out-of-date) pop-up description from their web site.)

Equally important is post-sale tech support.  Due to a bone-head move on my part (computer cabinet fell off the wall while the machine was running!), I got a chance to test S1’s tech support.  I can personally attest it is top-notch.  They are available 7 days a week, and patient!

I would highly recommend this company to you.  (I don’t work for S1, nor does my wife or any relatives, I paid the posted price for the Platinum Edition and I am not being compensated for this review, in case you were wondering.)

    Love it! August 13, 2007
    Reviewer: TM from Ohio
Got a platinum edition, been using for about a month now. The new media center in vista is great. The unit is pretty quiet, although rather large. I have direct tv so I only get over the air HDTV. But the PQ on it is pretty amazing. So are Bluray discs.

I opend the case to see what it was like inside and they've done a pretty nice job with the wiring too. Everything is neat and airflow is good.

Anyway, recommend this unit to anyone that's thinking about buy it.

    S1 is great! May 26, 2006
    Reviewer: HLK from San Francisco
S1 is great! I’ve been looking around to get a solid and stable high-end MCE a long while but none of them can satisfy what I want and need until I find S1. It is a solid machine and very stable with high quality parts not like other MCE manufactures. If you want the best MCE in the market today, I see you have no choice but S1. Highly recommend.

    Great Product! January 29, 2006
    Reviewer: Steve from Seattle
I've been on the media center band wagon for 2 years.  This is my second MCE pc; one in the Den and this one for the family room.  Having built one myself, choosing the right hardware and getting all the drivers to work correctly is tricky, to say the least.  You can get an MCE from lots of the small & big box retailers...I just returned a brand new Dell XPS 600 after a few days when I realized it was junk.  These guys are using some of the best components available and making sure they work correctly.  The purchase was not painless; upon setting up the first time, the Seagate HDD went bad right away.  They confirmed they had received some bad disks and replaced the system quickly.  I don't mind problems, as long as support is there quickly and professionally to take care of you.  I'd reccomend an S1 system over any box retailer out there (I looked at them all!).
